Inaugural Public Meeting

Saturday 20 February, 2016 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

This is an invitation to the inaugural public meeting for the Roman Road Neighbourhood Plan.

If you live or work in Bow, the Roman Road Neighbourhood Plan is an opportunity for you to shape the future of this area.

Neighbourhood Plans give communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. They are able to choose where they want new homes, shops and offices to be built, have their say on what those new buildings should look like and what infrastructure should be provided, and grant planning permission for the new buildings they want to see go ahead.

We hope you will be able to join us for the first public meeting at St Paul’s Church on St Stephen’s Road at 4pm. It should run for about an hour.

We are delighted to have Tom Hobson and Andy Belfield joining us at this event. Tom and Andy are currently involved in two other Neighbourhood Plans (Depford and Loughborough Junction) and will be passing on their wisdom and guiding us through the process for the first few meetings.

The students from Cass School of Art, Design and Architecture will also be there. The Cass students have helped build the Interact hub on Ford Road next to the Roman Road car park, and are studying Roman Road as part of their degree. They will be working with us on the Neighbourhood Plan, helping to organise several consultation events.

If you can’t come to this meeting, don’t worry. We’ll be planning an after-work, mid-week event next time. There will be plenty of opportunities to get involved.
